Privacy, by design

Most privacy policies ask you to trust a company's behavior. SerenLuma is built so that you mostly don't have to: the sensitive parts of this site run entirely on your device.

What happens to your answers

Every questionnaire on this site — PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSS-10, the burnout and attachment tests — is scored by code running in your own browser. Your answers are never transmitted to SerenLuma's servers or any third party. There is no database of answers because there is nothing to put in one.

What gets stored, and where

So that you can see your history and trends, the site saves results, check-ins, practice records, and sleep diary entries in your browser's local storage — a small storage area on your own device, tied to this browser. It is not synced, not backed up by us, and not accessible to us. Using a different browser or device starts fresh; clearing your browser's site data erases everything permanently.

Your controls

On the My Results page you can delete any single result or record, and there is a “Delete all my data” button that wipes everything SerenLuma has stored in your browser. No request form, no waiting period — it happens instantly, because the data was only ever yours.

Accounts and tracking

There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing to log into. We do not set advertising cookies or sell data — there is no data to sell. Standard, privacy-respecting analytics (page views) may be used to understand which tools are useful; your questionnaire answers, diary entries, and records are never part of any analytics, by construction.

One honest caveat

Local storage lives on your device. Anyone with access to this browser on this device could open My Results and see your history. If that is a concern, use the delete controls — and consider a private browsing window, which discards local storage when closed.

Not a medical service

SerenLuma provides self-assessment and self-care tools for education and personal tracking. It is not a medical service, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please use the resources in the footer of every page.
